The Pet Barn at Camp Hi-Ho has helped thousands of puppies and kittens find loving homes. It’s a favorite camp activity—campers can snuggle with adoptable puppies and kittens during the day and have the opportunity to take a kitten or puppy home for a one night sleepover, or maybe a forever sleepover.

At Camp Hi-Ho, the heart of our Pet Barn program is giving animals a second chance by helping them find safe, loving homes. Over the years, we’ve placed thousands of puppies and kittens with caring families—and we’d love for you to be part of that story.

If your family is considering a new furry friend, we encourage you to meet the animals during your camper’s session. Whether you’re interested in adopting or simply looking to enjoy a one-night sleepover with a puppy or kitten, we’re here to help make that connection happen in a safe, well-staffed environment.

Important: To participate in a Pet Barn sleepover or adoption, you must complete the Pet Barn Adoption Form, which will be emailed to you the week before your camper’s session. Space is limited, so we encourage you to submit the form as soon as possible once it’s received.

Instructions for Sleepovers and Adoptions (temporary or permanent):

  1. Scroll to the bottom of this page to access the Pet Barn Sleepover & Adoption Interest Form.

  2. Pets cannot ride the camp bus, so please plan to pick up your camper and the pet at Camp Hi-Ho by 3:15 PM. The Pet Barn is located at the end of the gravel driveway in the small white barn at the back of the property.

  3. If participating in a sleepover, return both your camper and the pet to Camp the next morning by 9:00 AM.
